Keep A Cool Head In Tense Situation

Sep 2, 2010

My wife Mary was very disturbed when I called her the other day. I was on tour and was supposed to be back in a couple of days. i forgot my national insurance number she cried over the phone. I told her that she surely must have made a note of it somewhere. She told me that she had written it in a diary but now she couldn’t find it. I knew the problem was simple but the way my wife was reacting, it looked like she had lost the most precious thing in life. I told her to cool down and to go and check her bank account statement it would definitely mention her national insurance number. She told me to hold the line while she checked the bank statement. She sounded excited when she came back on the line and told me that she had found her insurance number. I told her that before she gets panicky the next time she should check with me and taking unnecessary tension would not solve the problem.
